3 Stars Not a bad game
This game isn’t bad…when I bought it I didn’t know what I was expecting i guess but I was a little disappointed to see that the game has lots of unrealistic features. If you want you can kind of say this is the “NFL Blitz” of baseball…the outfielders can jump around 20-30 feet in the air and the baserunning is much faster than anything I know. But for the actual game itself, I do enjoy it and it is fun experiance. I do wish it would have a “season” option. It has a “rookie challenge” which is the only thing it has close to a schedule. Overall the game good and I love almost all baseball games so I am not one to be too picky or disgruntled.
1 Star Horrible, not fun!
First off I could not even get past the pitching tutorial, so I skipped it. It is impossible to pitch and the batting is so unnatural. I know that other people like this game so take my review with a grain of salt, you might like this game. I hate this game and have never felt like ‘playing’ a game was a chore. I skipped the tutorial and went straight into play, I see why they have the tutorial practice. If you can’t get past the pitching tutorial after trying for a couple of hours like me then give up, it’s not worth the headache. I think the main reason I dislike this game so much is I was looking for a baseball game that was an extension of game play with real MLB players to WII sports Baseball. Not even close. I understand putting the realism of actually being a baseball player into a sim game but have a another mode for simpler physics for people that just want to pick up a game and have actual ‘fun’. I recommend renting this game and trying it out first because you might like it or you might want to smash it with a hammer.

Just a enough of real baseball vs video game baseball to make it really fun! Unfortunately most games on the wii (now that ea sports doesn’t do baseball) just aren’t fun. They’re poorly donre and focus on graphics rather than the game itself. This game is great!!!

We love baseball. So, anything to do with “the game” we enjoy. My son was ready for the next level and this worked out.

If you are looking for a great baseball franchise game or just a good baseball game, you shouldn’t buy this game. As advertised on the back of the game case, it is a arcade game version of baseball. Just a warning, be prepared for cheap homeruns and pitches.
