3 Stars Not what I was expecting
I thought this game could be better. The game is not bad, in fact is quite interesting, but it is not so good for having 4 and half star. I think there are better games out there.

5 Stars Entertaining for single or multiplayer
I got this game because I was looking for one that would be equally fun when playing alone or with guests. This game has fit the bill and then some.

I will admit when I originally picked up this game I was skeptical of how fun it would be. Described as a ‘puzzle/action game’ it looked a bit basic in terms of skill level and complexity. I also worried that it would be something more enteraining for families with young children than twentysomethings. Happily this game proved me wrong and not only have my boyfriend and I gone through almost all the game play available, his mother also loved it so much she got her own copy.

There are many positives about the game. The first is that it is addictively fun. We have played it with many different crowds and have yet to find someone who doesn’t enjoy the game. Most are skeptical at first, but then addicted. It is an especially good game for newbies to the Wii because the game play is very easy to master and intuitive. Because of this less time is spent mastering the remote and more on enjoying the game. It also takes full advantage of the movement and possibilities of the Wii remote so it feels very different than playing a game on another system.

I also appreciated the variety of activities between a single game. Even though they are all different adapations of Jenga like games they are different enough to keep me entertained for hours. Each game felt different enough that even when I had made it through most of the levels the subsequent ones never felt repetitive or boring. There is even an in-game editor so you can build levels on your own, leading to seemingly endless gameplay.

Even though I can usually find some flaw with every video game I’ve purchased this was not the case with this game. If anything, I’m wishing it came with more levels so I could play longer.

Overall this is a great game that I would recommend whether you are into single or multiplayer gameplay. It is a particularly good game if you are new to the Wii system and want something you can master and enjoy quickly. It is easily up there with Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel and Super Mario Galaxy.

5 Stars Addictive Party Game
I’m a casual game. 20-30 minutes and I’m ready to do something else. I also like to play with friends as a social activity. This game is perfect for me because it’s essential the board game Jenga but with hundreds of interesting variations. The fun is in competing with your friends and talking trash, but it also takes some intelligence and spacial reasoning abilities.

If you like to play fun games that don’t have a steep learning curve so your friends can easily play, this is great game. Highly recommended.

5 Stars Great fun for young or old
This is a real sleeper of a great game.

You will have many, many hours of fun playing this one.

Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.

5 Stars One of the best party games
I had never heard of this game until some friends and I went to rent a few games to play for the weekend. We found Boom Blox and thought it looked ok, so we took it home and played all night. I liked it so much I bought it.

The multiplayer mode is the best. We had tons of fun and played for hours, though, yes, our arms were sore the next day. Single player can be pretty fun, but it does get lonely after a while.

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars A bit too hard
If the toughness of the game didn’t hang you up in one spot seemingly indifinetly it would be great. Maybe I’m just not a good gamer, but it would be more fun if you could keep moving forward in the game.

1 Star Big disappointment for Spyro fan
First of all, terrible acting. I don’t know why Elijah Wood agreed to these terrible lines and weak, unimaginative plot. Billy West as Sparks is just annoying. The audio is badly recorded with some characters being very loud while others are difficult to hear.

Next, almost no puzzles (which is what I loved about the first ones), but tons of melee battles that are just difficult enough that they’re more irritating than fun. And the graphics just aren’t cool enough to make up for it. Terribly unimaginative level design, with the few puzzles just eating your time rather than flexing your brain.

Then the scenery is quite dark and has very bad camera angles. Every start point has long and annoying cut scenes that will have you ready to throw your Wii-mote and nun chuck in frustration every time you mess up and have to start over. The controls aren’t that great or intuitive either.

In the end, if you do decide to play this game, Save yourself some pain; rent first. And make sure you have a game cube or classic controller, because I just didn’t have any fun at all with the Wii-mote/nun chuck.

1 Star Where’s the Spyro I loved?
Okay I’m going to start off by saying that I have played 5 out of the 7 Spyro games I know of. The first three for the original PS and Enter the Dragonfly as well as A Hero’s Tail. I found that I loved these games until Insomniac quit being involved in making them and Universal/Vivendi took over. A Hero’s Tail was better than Enter the Dragonfly which had so many bugs and not enough of the subworlds I was accustomed to.

I bought this game figuring maybe, just maybe Universal had listened to the customer’s who said they miss the Spyro from the original games but no, they didn’t listen.

This game is the polar opposite of the Spyro games for PS in that all you do is walk a little, kill some enemies, walk a little more and…. you guessed it kill some enemies. There’s no collecting of items just fighting. If I wanted a game that only involved fighting I’d buy Mortal Kombat (which I loved back in the day). This game was so boring and disappointing I didn’t finish it. It was a waste of my money and I’d sell it but I do not want to torture anyone with a game this boring. If you like fighting games then this is for you but if you’ve been a fan of the Spyro series from the beginning you’re probably going to say the same thing I did and that is that this game stinks. Please, Universal, listen to the customers if you plan on making anymore Spyro games and if not, then just quit making them because these last few games are horrible!

4 Stars The Legend Of Spyro
I bought this for my 12 year old, daughter. She is fascinated, challenged and frightened by it, all at the same time. This is her first experience with Wii. It took her a few hours and at first it was a bit frustrating to figure out all the different aspects of the game, and how to use the nunchuk to conrol Spyro. She has it down now and even though she knows how to control Spyro, it still is challenging, fun, and frightening.

5 Stars More action then the original
I’ve played this game for about 10+ hours so far and love it. The controls are pretty good. The camera movement works better then other games I’ve played. And this game is packed full of action. The only warning I would give is that if you’ve only played some of the original Spyro games then you’ll be in for a shock. This game has almost all fighting and no puzzles or races. The early Spyro games were just the opposite. But I actually prefer the game this way then with a bunch of silly races or puzzles.

Wii Nunchuk Controller

Contoured to perfectly fit a player’s hand, the Nunchuk controller goes an extra step to meet the needs of gamers. It features the same motion-sensing technology enabled in the Wii Remote controller, with an analog stick to assist in character movement. Use it to move your characters and have them perform all kinds of specific actions — whether it’s throwing a pass in football or aiming a ranged weapon in an action game. The ambidextrous nature of the Wii controllers grants accessibility seldom seen in game controllers.

5 Stars Must have for family gaming
Most of the Wii games support more than one player — some support up to 4. But the Wii console comes with a single remote and nunchuk. We got by with just 2 remote-and-nunchucks for a year, but it’s so much better now that we have 4. The family games are livelier when everybody plays!

5 Stars Great OEM Controller
Exactly what it should be – great OEM controller. :) Purchased this with WiiPlay so that hubby would have a set of controllers too.

1 Star Wiiiiiiiii
The above star rating questions are

1. How much fun is this game??? WTF??? on star b/c Amazon is very generic on this one.

2. How do you rate this game overall???? Hello? This is a Nunchuck not a game. It is a game controller.

I guess it could be a game if swung around like a real nunchuck and then hit people with it, but who wants to do that?

5 Stars Wii Nunchuk
I was very pleased with this product. It arrived in a speedy fashion, and in good condition. I was able to purchase this product from Amazon for a couple dollars less than at my local stores!

5 Stars Wii nun chuck-needed for some games
This Wii nunchuck is quite useful for some of the Wii games.

Check the Wii game boxes , to see if it is needed.

Manhunt 2

The sequel to Rockstar’s sinister action game about a man who wakes up in a living nightmare where he is being stalked for sport and must sneak through the shadows and kill by whatever means he can devise in order to fight his way out. The sequel picks up with a new lead character, new gangs, a new storyline with gruesome twists and turns, and much more. The urban horrors of Cancer City are gone. Manhunt 2 takes place in a dark, shadowy, asylum filled with dark realities and psychological turmoil.
Danny and Leo were subjects in a diabolical experiment that had gone wrong. They were the only two survivors. The game starts in a dingy asylum. You’re Danny and your goal is to escape and let no one stand in your way – guards, inmates, nurses, doctors – are all enemies. Can you? Leo talk to Danny throughout the entire escape. There are questions about Danny’s sanity but you don’t have enough time to consider it as he rampages through the ‘hospital’ killing his way from one level to the next. He is, of course, relentlessly pursued by a group of viscous hunters who will also stop at nothing to finish Danny off. Actively pursued, the hunted Danny Lamb must tackle his way out of a nightmare where the stakes are as real as they are dangerous. While the core gameplay is still sneaking, shooting, and performing stealth attacks, there are a number of new options available for players in this exciting new version that’s ripe and ready for the Wii. It’s bound to be a major hit with Wii owners.
Like the original Manhunt, Manhunt 2 isn’t for the faint-hearted ( ESRB rating is M for Mature). Death scenes are particularly gruesome, gory and bloody. Improved AI and advanced graphics make the game seem more realistic. Coupled with an eery soundtrack and sensational audio effects, Manhunt 2 is a sure-fire sequel for fans in search for frenzied action, explosive gameplay, and pulse-tingling adventure.

4 Stars manhunt review
I found this game at hollywood video in the bargin bin and i think I paid about 15 dollars for the game.It reminded me of silent hill without the satanism. The game is interesting and it trys to be twisted with all the insane stuff going on and cursing, the game was too dark so I brighten the screen so I could see better.I had problems with the charater movement freezing and the aiming of the gun sight otherwise the game was amusing and fun.I recomend it for those who find this stuff funny.I wasnt scary.

5 Stars Not For The Faint Of Heart
There was a lot of controversy when this game came out, which meant I had to play it. I bought it for the Wii immediately and loved this game. Yes, it’s a very deranged and bloody game with a horrifically demented story told like none other… but you’d have to be an idiot if you didn’t know that before buying the game.

The Wii motion controls get you all the more involved in the game and you will at times find yourself so immersed in this game that it’s frightening.

Definitely not for the faint of heart or children… or something you’d want your girlfriend’s parents to see you playing.

My only gripe was that the murders were distorted due to government censoring. I’m not going to hold that against the game though, it wasn’t their fault and they didn’t let it affect the quality of game play.

I can’t wait for Manhunt 3!

5 Stars Great game
Not as easy to control as the PSP version but still awesome. The only game I wanted for the Wii. My kid/wife plays all the mario crap and I play Manhunt 2. My gaming lies with Xbox 360 which is a way better system.

1 Star Not for kids, teens or adults, just kind of sick and that’s all
Maybe I’d rate this game “just for adults” if it had some interesting gameplay and wasn’t just appealing to a sick mind. I guess we can hope that the existence of this game will keep a few frog rectums free of firecrackers by occupying the time of people with those sorts of hobbies. That is about the best I can say for it.

I will read game reviews a little more literally in the future, as I thought the negative reviews on this were just hyperbole. What’s so mind-boggling is that some group of people thought this kind of stuff needs to be in the world, and put their energy and money into developing it.

5 Stars My husband loves it
I bought this as a gift. It came quick as promised for a timely gift. My husband loves it.

4 Stars Good war game for younger kids
Mom review here…

My son is 7 years old and we are trying to back off from the overly graphic war games and this game is a perfect substitute. He has had it for several months and still plays it… so it must be fun or it would be collecting dust like some of his other games.

4 Stars Grandson likes it.
I bought this for a gift for my grandson. He said it was a cool game.

5 Stars Very Pleased!
I was very pleased with this purchase. The price was great, and my nephew said he loves the game which makes me a very satisfied customer.

5 Stars Very good Wii game!!!
I am not very fanatic of the games of this gender type but I can tell you that it is very, very amusing and the graph this quite well. I still recommend this game if they don’t like this gender.

5 Stars Awesome
This game is great. This is the only Wii game that I have found where strategy actually applies. It is still fast paced and requires your attention as it is very action packed. The online mode is a neat addition and really shows how good/bad you are.
