Star Wars The Force Unleashed

Star Wars The Force Unleashed

The Star Wars saga will continue in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a videogame developed by LucasArts, which casts players as Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice” and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi – and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.

As its name implies, The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force. The Wii version will not only give you a solid story-line developed by LucasArts involving the Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, but you’ll experience a new style of gameplay only the Wii can offer. With the Wiimote and Nunchuck you’ll be able to battle your way through your enemies utilizing your Lightsaber attacks and Force powers. Not only can you experience this new control system in story mode, but you can also try your Jedi skills against a friend in the Wii, “Battle Mode.” Joining the Dark Side doesn’t seem like such a bad idea after all.

Game Features:

  • During the period between Episodes III and IV, players hunt Jedi in the role of Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice.
  • Unleash and upgrade the Secret Apprentice’s four core Force powers – Force push, grip, repulse and lightning – throughout the course of the game, and combine them for ultra-destructive, never-before-seen combos.
  • Examples of unleashing the Force in ways never thought possible:
    • The Secret Apprentice won’t just Force push enemies into walls – he’ll Force push enemies through walls.
    • The Secret Apprentice won’t just Force grip foes to throw them aside – he’ll Force grip them in midair, zap them with lightning, then drop them to the ground to explode like a bomb.
  • In addition to new adversaries created just for the game, such as fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive Felucians, players will also confront and associate with familiar faces from the Star Wars films, including Darth Vader.
  • Visit locations such as Episode III’s Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk and the floral Felucia, the junk planet Raxus Prime, plus an Imperial TIE fighter construction facility.
  • The Wii system’s “Battle Mode,” a one on one fighting arena simliar to the classic game, Star Wars: Masters of Ter

5 Stars Great game for kids
my kids are 9 7 5 all girls and the love this game could play it all day long the only thing the do no like this that it is only one player other than that the love it

5 Stars billy and mandy
Billy and Mandy prove to be quite fun for children. The graphics are quite good. I find the game fast paced and hard to follow but the kids love it! It has some qualities that remind one of days gone by with atari and nintendo at their earliest.

5 Stars DEATHMATCH !!! (pun intended)
It’s the hit show on Cartoon Network like you’ve never seen – or played – before !

The “Billy and Mandy” video game may look like your garden variety multiplayer combat game with weapons and destructible environments, but this has some of your favorite characters from the show such as the hapless Irwin, the chaotic Eris, the sinister Nergal and Nergal Jr., the prank-pulling Jack O. Lantern, the annoying Fred Fredburger, and much more. Each character has a special power move and alternate costumes that you can unlock. There are various modes of play including a “Mission Mode” that unlocks characters and other neat extras like a sneak peek at a brand new “Grim Adventures” special coming soon ! Plus the Wii exclusively has a SIXTH tier of missions that unlock even more cool stuff !

So if you like “The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy” on Cartoon Network, and if you like no-holds-barred fighting games, then this is definitely the game for you. You know you want it !

4 Stars THE FIRST GAME
WHILE FANS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A BILLY AND MANDY GAME FOR YEARS,THE SHOW DOES IT AT LAST WITH OVER 15 CHARACTERS! THE WHOLE CAST IS READY TO FIGHT OVER GRIMS MOJO BALLS.BUT,WHO RELEASED THEM AND STARTED THE MADNESS? BATTLE A FRIEND WITH ALL YOU GOT IN V.S.,AND KILL EVERYONE! THE FUN WILL NEVER END.

4 Stars Brake your self…or at least others
Brake your self…or at least others.

The game is in the vein of the show so if you like the destruction and absurdity of the show you’ll enjoy the game. This is a button masher game, but it does have a little skill requirement as it uses just about every part of the wii remote. Worth it for anyone who wants a party beat ‘m up game. A little boring in single mode. It’s a battle game threw-n-threw.

3 Stars Not very much fun
I would recommend renting this for a party evening, but purchasing it would not be very wise.

4 Stars Lots of fun
I bought this for my younger son, who loves Bomberman (all versions). He and his older brother play this constantly — more frequently than more expensive games that I thought were “cooler” than this.

3 Stars great gift for kid
It’s a gift to kid (12 years old). She love it & have lot of fun

3 Stars Not bad
Mini games are kinda hard. They are entertaining, but it seems that we get stuck playing them over and over due to them not being too easy. They start to get old and frustrating.

I do like the battle mode though. That was really the only reason that I had purchased this game.

4 Stars Not bad, Not great, Just Good, especially for the price!
I’ve had hours of fun playing this game in multiplayer mode. Single player is boring. Who wants to do math problems and shoot balls when your gun can only shoot upwards? That’s so 90’s. Sad thing is, you need to play single player to unlock more bomberman characters.

Multiplayer is very fun but at the same time it’s disappointing that there are so few items. They need to bring back the glove item so you can pick up bombs as well as other special items.

I would actually give it 3.5 out of 5 but rounded up since I can’t do half.

Best 4 Player Games?

October 26th, 2008 Nintendo Wii Review No comments
I was looking at getting Mario Kart 64. Are there other good 4 player games? Is there a way to only have 4 players play each other in battle mode on Mario kart wii? Do all players need to have the virtual console pad? What are some cheaper alternatives hardware wise and the cheapest place to buy points(they seem cheaper on ebay) Thanks!
