3 Stars Not what I was expecting
I thought this game could be better. The game is not bad, in fact is quite interesting, but it is not so good for having 4 and half star. I think there are better games out there.

5 Stars Entertaining for single or multiplayer
I got this game because I was looking for one that would be equally fun when playing alone or with guests. This game has fit the bill and then some.

I will admit when I originally picked up this game I was skeptical of how fun it would be. Described as a ‘puzzle/action game’ it looked a bit basic in terms of skill level and complexity. I also worried that it would be something more enteraining for families with young children than twentysomethings. Happily this game proved me wrong and not only have my boyfriend and I gone through almost all the game play available, his mother also loved it so much she got her own copy.

There are many positives about the game. The first is that it is addictively fun. We have played it with many different crowds and have yet to find someone who doesn’t enjoy the game. Most are skeptical at first, but then addicted. It is an especially good game for newbies to the Wii because the game play is very easy to master and intuitive. Because of this less time is spent mastering the remote and more on enjoying the game. It also takes full advantage of the movement and possibilities of the Wii remote so it feels very different than playing a game on another system.

I also appreciated the variety of activities between a single game. Even though they are all different adapations of Jenga like games they are different enough to keep me entertained for hours. Each game felt different enough that even when I had made it through most of the levels the subsequent ones never felt repetitive or boring. There is even an in-game editor so you can build levels on your own, leading to seemingly endless gameplay.

Even though I can usually find some flaw with every video game I’ve purchased this was not the case with this game. If anything, I’m wishing it came with more levels so I could play longer.

Overall this is a great game that I would recommend whether you are into single or multiplayer gameplay. It is a particularly good game if you are new to the Wii system and want something you can master and enjoy quickly. It is easily up there with Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel and Super Mario Galaxy.

5 Stars Addictive Party Game
I’m a casual game. 20-30 minutes and I’m ready to do something else. I also like to play with friends as a social activity. This game is perfect for me because it’s essential the board game Jenga but with hundreds of interesting variations. The fun is in competing with your friends and talking trash, but it also takes some intelligence and spacial reasoning abilities.

If you like to play fun games that don’t have a steep learning curve so your friends can easily play, this is great game. Highly recommended.

5 Stars Great fun for young or old
This is a real sleeper of a great game.

You will have many, many hours of fun playing this one.

Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.

5 Stars One of the best party games
I had never heard of this game until some friends and I went to rent a few games to play for the weekend. We found Boom Blox and thought it looked ok, so we took it home and played all night. I liked it so much I bought it.

The multiplayer mode is the best. We had tons of fun and played for hours, though, yes, our arms were sore the next day. Single player can be pretty fun, but it does get lonely after a while.

3 Stars Disappointed
I bought because it had some great games but soon discovered it wasn’t so much fun. The games are hard to play. My children became so frustrated and game up. Even I have a hard time playing the games. I was very disappointed.

2 Stars Better Games out there
Not really 30 games- only about 12 games. Only different variations of the same game. All games utilize the same hand motions. None of the games are realistic. Save your money and buy another game.

3 Stars An okay game.
This game is an okay game. It’s a good game to rent or if you can buy it for 20 dollars or less.

The game has a lot of games. You have to unlock a lot of them, and when you finally unlock them they are basically spinoff of the games you have like Lawn Darts, will then unlock water darts. Or basketball will unlock other versions of basketball. Also, the controls are all the same no matter what the game. Which can make the games kind of seem similatr after awhile.

That being said it’s still fun, but I just feel like more could have been put into it.

3 Stars An OK family game
We bought this game when a merchant told us this was the sequal to playgorund games…it is not.

This game is fun, BUT nearly every game requires the same underhand motion. Horseshoes, shuffleboard, jarts, etc….

I liked the “idea” of having RC planes, but the planes are really difficult to control (OK impossible), and the graphics are sooooo small.

There are some cute features of this game; however, for the most part, this seems to be one of those games in the bargain bin.

3 Stars Neighborhood Games – Wii
I find some of the Neighborhood Games difficult to play and imprecise in how the remote reacts. They provide some entertainment, but a game like Carnivale Games is much tighter to control.

5 Stars Very fun
Old School, but still fun. Have the Wii and wanted to try this before buying the 50 dollar Wii version. Definitely going to get the new one now!

4 Stars Not as good as the second one
The second game is much better and has better games but this is still a fun party game if you don’t have the second one.

4 Stars Great Golf! Stay away from the “Bowling”
The actual game is fairly good. The multi-player are a mixed bag. The Bowling is just about the worst thing I’ve ever seen. It got my neighbor’s little girl so upset we had to make her promise not to attempt it.

The golf, on the other hand, is amazingly good. As good as Mario!

3 Stars Fun minigames, but infuriating main game is required to unlock them
This game came highly recommended to me and got good reviews, but I have to say that this is one of the most infuriating games I’ve ever played. Yes, 2 of the 3 mini-games that are initially unlocked are fun, but to get the other 3 mini games you have to play the main game, and the main game is infuriatingly not fun. Actually, the first 5 or 6 levels or so are pretty fun, but then it rapidly, and painfully, gets difficult. It’s a lot like Marble Madness, except for the fun part. A key difference between the way Marble Madness worked and the way this works is that in Marble Madness, if you fell off an edge you lost time, but were placed roughly back where you were before you fell off. In Super Monkey Ball, if you fall off you have to start the level entirely over again. Combine that with levels involving balance beam precision and what you end up with just isn’t fun.

I made it through the easy levels, but decided I’d had enough only a short way into the medium difficulty levels. An hour into it and I was only less than halfway to unlocking one mini game. It’s just not worth it. My advice would be to only buy this game if you have an Action Replay to unlock all the mini games right away, or if you have friends/family who have a save with all the mini games unlocked that you can copy to your memory card. The mini games are fun, and SMB should have been entirely mini games.

5 Stars Super Monkey Ball
You kids this is a top 3 game cube game in our household! I love Monkey Fight! I am a super sonic gamer. I like about everything I play! Buy it I know this is the right game for you! I got it this Christmas. Rent it before you buy it to make sure you like it. Post a review if you have it. SEGA rocks with Sonic,& Super Monkey Ball. Buy it Buy it Buy it Buy it Buy it!!!!!

2 Stars There are better games available
I found the controls very difficult. The tracks are nothing like actual race tracks. This game barely qualifies as a racing game.

2 Stars Doesn’t live up to expectations.
This game would have rivaled MarioKart if it would have been programmed correctly, instead it disappoints as badly as Desktop Racing.

Graphics are horrible even for a ‘lesser’ system, most of the time you can’t find the track and/or your car.

Car options are non-existant.

No steering assist for younger children.

This game is so bad, I can’t even eat M&M’s anymore!

1 Star Terrible, don’t waste your money
There is nothing good about this game. Can’t believe M&M would tarnish there reputation by putting their name on such a bad game. Now I have two disappointed children and a game I can’t bring back.

2 Stars Novelty at best
Just as other reviewers stated the controls are difficult and you run into everything. No maps, dark scenes, and poor control handling make this game a poor selection.

I have owned this game for awhile now. I am an avid M&M fan and collector. I thought this game like other driving skill games would be loads of fun. IT IS NOT. I gave it a 1-star for fun and 2-star because of the M&M characters.

Zoo games just makes bad games period. I own another M&M game- M&M adventures, also made by Zoo games. I wish M&Ms or Mars would cancel their contract and find a new game vendor, because I like the idea of M&Ms in video games and the concepts are good but the games SUCK.

4 Stars My 8 year old son loves it, but takes some getting used to.
My 8 year old son really wanted this game, so we came to Amazon to check out the reviews. Wow, they were not good. One person even went as far as saying something to the effect that if after reading these reviews you still purchase it, you must not love your child…that review devastated my son! He said he really wanted it, but if buying it for me meant I didn’t love him, he didn’t want it…watch what you write folks!

We were at K-Mart the other day, my son strayed into the video game area and found this game for $14.99 and asked if we could get it even though the reviews on Amazon weren’t good. I agreed to and we have played it 3 nights in a row. He told me last night that this is his favorite game we have and we have several. I asked if he likes it better than Mario Kart and Spider Man Friend or Foe and he said “Yes!”

As for myself, I’m 40 years old and do get frustrated with the game on a couple of the screens, which you have to win to open others. But for the most part, it was worth the money. I do suggest playing it with the wheel, it makes the game more fun and I think it makes the game easier to play too.

So, go with what you think you might like. It’s not a big investment and if you, or your child, think you will like it, give it a try…you can always sell it here or on ebay later.

Super Monkey Ball

Super Monkey Ball

In Super Monkey Ball, you’re in control of a cute little monkey trapped inside a transparent ball. The objective of the game is deceptively simple: tilt the floor with your analog stick so that your monkey ball rolls towards the goal. Your success is all in the thumb: the more you tilt, the faster the ball rolls. Just be sure not to fall off the edges! You can play with up to four others to see who can master the tilt and get their monkeys to the finish line ahead of the pack.

5 Stars A very good Game.
I palyed this game for the first time without playing any of the other insatllments 1 and 2. To me this game is good the fighting with the wii remote is excellent and the camera control is good cause you have total control of it plus landscape view. The fight in stealth require the right timing but control give the game a whole new feeling from the traditional control pad. if you are a first time player you will enjoy this game the traps and puzzles are the best and the action is excellent the story line is great seeing that they give you information from the second installment of the game. so all in all the game is good so take a try with the Wii..

5 Stars Love It!
I think what I love the most about this game is the fact that no matter what you can always control the camera angle 100%. Then of course there is the challenging puzzles to solve, the sweet combat and non-combat moves, nice weapons, good story-line, quite playable controls, and good graphics. One of the better games you can buy for the Wii.

5 Stars Prince of Persia. Rival Swords
I like this types of adventure games. I always buy in amazon because I never had problems with my stuffs. You have fun with this game.

3 Stars Good story, fun gameplay, and ok visuals… but outdated
I had fun and that’s the main point. Combat is pretty bad with the Wii remote but not impossible to learn, but the stealth attacks are great fun to watch and perform. A few glitches and the visuals look like Xbox, which isn’t bad, but could be a LOT better.

5 Stars I like it
Personally, I have not played the Prince of Persia series. I saw it, thought it looked cool, and enjoyed it. While it may be true that it’s simply a re-release of the PS2 game, at least it’s still a good game. It gives Wii-ers the option of playing games that are proven good.

I like the action and the prince’s abilities are really cool. It’s very challenging but direct. Overall it’s a good game.
