1 Star Poor Jillian Michaels
What a shame that Jillian got talked into putting her name and likeness to this game. This is by far the worst fitness game vere. The wii does not respond with the movements, sometimes it takes 2 tries to even start the game. Once you get it moving, you cannot speed up running because it only runs at one pace and will give you an error message. I really had high hopes for this game seeing Jillian was connected with it but boy did she get taken (like me)

1 Star Very disappointing – should have checked Amazon first
I bought this thinking I’d get a good workout – what a huge disappointment!

1. You spend most of your time running in place.

2. The on screen instructions are terribly lacking. For example, there’s an activity where you’re supposed to pick something up and throw it. However, throwing seems to require pushing buttons but it doesn’t tell you which/how to make it happen.

3. It’s VERY slow to respond. I was doing a slow movement and it was at best 3-5 seconds behind me and often would get stuck thinking.

4. The encouraging prompts are queued solely by the clock. So things like it saying “great job” always happen about 2 minutes into your 2 min 40 second runs. A real tool should prompt on something more dynamic – like when your speed starts tapering.

5. The game’s instructions for running explicitly say “don’t run on the balance board.” However, there’s no way to accomplish what it asks for without running on the balance board.

6. This is mostly about with a few diversions between running sessions.

7. It asks your height and age, as well as gathers your weight, but doesn’t calculate your BMI. This is great info for someone to know and requires those 3 pieces of data.

8. The game is very inconsistent. Let’s say you’re running at a nice even pace. (Did I mention you do that a lot?) Despite your even pace, it sometimes will show you moving right along and sometimes your avatar will be standing still.

All in all, this is junk. Save your money!

4 Stars If your looking for better go to the Gym
First I would like to say I’ve lost 5lbs. since working out with this video game. If you purchased this video game for graphics then it’s not the game for you. However it will help you acheive your fitness goals. I’ve played it by myself and with others (which makes it more fun). It gets the heart rate up and along with eating right you can acheive your goals. Yes it may look a little cheesy but so what. Your body will look cheesy if you dont get up and do something about it.

4 Stars Try It, You’ll Like It!
I was leary of buying this product based on the reviews, but I’m so glad I didn’t listen. Yes when I first bought it I though I made a HUGE mistake. Everyone was right-

The graphics are BORING. The colors don’t match anything close to what you selected. The lag time, ugh. Some times I can’t even make the avatar move. I was frustrated and stopped trying after 5 minutes. Then I tried again.

The second time the graphics were still boring BUT I learned how to use the game and after 20 minutes I was DONE, not because I was bored but because my heart was thumping and my muscles were quaking.

The third time I ignored the graphics, and instead focused on the activities. This time I discovered there is about a 3 second lag time between your movements and the avatars BUT I believe this to be a controller issue (hence the newly designed controller perhaps???) but if you can get past that you get an AWESOME work out that Wii Fit doesn’t give you as well as an elevated heart rate.

If you’re still leary rent this game and give it a SERIOUS try before deciding if you like it or not.

1 Star BAH!
I purchased this product because it has the option for multiplayer – tried the multiplayer a few times and it was decent but then all of a sudden when I would try to go into that mode it would freeze my whole system up – I contacted Amazon and got a replacement no problem, unfortunately as soon as I hit multiplayer mode on the new disk it AGAIN froze up my whole system. Really disappointed that the option is gone out of the game, it made it fun to compete against someone and I have no desire to even do it without the challenge of multiplayer because I’m not that crazy about the work out I get in single player mode and honestly feel that My Personal Fitness Coach is much better – In fact, a work out video is better, and cheaper.
