Crash Mind Over Mutant

Crash is back! In Crash’s latest adventure, the villainous Cortex has teamed up with N. Brio and created a monstrous mind-controlling device that has taken over all the bandicoots and mutants on Wumpa Island. Crash sets out to stop the madness by destroying Cortex’s evil device using his quick wits, lightning-quick agility, and the hijacked mutant in his pocket.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars I really liked it
I am in my late 50’s and new to Wii, actually video games in general.

I found that Mind over Mutant is just about right for me. It is neither too easy nor too hard, and I cannot wait to get to each level to see what is going on next. So while this game may not be for everyone, it is a good match for me.

5 Stars Crash
I have purchased the Crash Bandicoots for my Gamecube, and now have the Crash for my Wii. I really like this game, and find myself entertained for hours. I would recommend this game to anyone who wants to have fun !!

5 Stars Perfect for some fun
My roommate and I picked this game up as a rental remembering how much fun the original was. I was thrilled to see that this version is just as much fun!

Yes, some of the cartoons are a little cheesy, but after you get past the first bit, they don’t show up so frequently. I was a little dismayed that they “force” you to watch through the animated bits – until I figured out that it’s a two button combination to skip. (Plus sign, then A).

No, it’s not a game set up for the serious, hardcore gamer – but if you’re like us and are just looking for something you can play for fun for a few hours, then it works great. You don’t lose your place, and it’s easy to pick up again later.

5 Stars A great one!
Excellent for 9 to 11 year old boys. My kids and their friends love it.

3 Stars A good game, but very short
I got Crash; Mind over Mutants for Christmas and found it to be a very fun game. The controls are easy, with decent graphics and a good storyline. There were a variety of lands, although for the most part your kept on a path that takes to to and from places allowing little exploration.

Crash was also dissapointingly easy and short. I beat the game after only five hours of gameplay, during which I don’t think that my character died in combat once (save for the times I accidently fell off the side). On a simliar note to its difficulty, there are no ‘lives’ in this game. If you die, you appear where you died again. No getting sent back to start, not penalities, nothing. To some this may be a good thing, but it was a dissapointment to me.

I would recommend renting this game. Younger children will enjoy it, but teens and adults will probably grow bored with its easy gameplay.

Monster Jam Urban Assault

Monster truck action has broken past the stadium barriers — drivers will now be able to wreak havoc on city streets around the world in Monster Jam: Urban Assault. Taking Monster Jam monster trucks onto the streets and other urban settings and being rewarded for the scale of the damage and destruction is one of the new key features of Urban Assault. Feel the crunch of twisting metal underneath as you drive legendary and world famous monster truck favorites like Grave Digger, Maximum Destruction, Monster Mutt, El Toro Loco, Captain’s Curse, and Blue Thunder, or select from newer stars on the Monster Jam tour like Stone Crusher, Backwards Bob and Spitfire Monster Truck. Your goal is to demolish every vehicle you see. For purists, Monster Jam: Urban Assault still offers stadium racing and stadium freestyle competitions with gameplay much improved over the original game. Mini games have also been added, including ones brand new to the franchise like Monster Jump, Truck Trickster, Skee Ball and Air Strike.

4 Stars Fun crashing and smashing
Fun to be allowed to drive around smashing and crashing. My boys 9 and 10 enjoy it. I have no video skills and still like to have a turn. Would have been more fun is city scenarios were based on real cities but may be that is a bit sick!

5 Stars So much fun!!
Santa brought this one to my 3&1/2 year old son for x-mas. He is a total monster truck nut. He loves this game! Very easy for him to navigate through the different screens & trucks. We especially love the original features like the skill jump & the one where you are jumping the truck into a giant sized skee-ball platform. I love it when he asks me to play 2-player with him. We play follow-the-leader & hide-n-seek. Lots of fun!!!

5 Stars definitely worth it
i picked it up after seeing it on tv. it looked really good. i played the freestyle mode and was amazed. its been a while since i played MJ: Maximum Destruction, but i’m sure it didn’t have tricks like backflips and endos in it. plus it can b challenging so its not just another easy game, like some of the achievements to unlock monster trucks. definitely would recommend it.

4 Stars Monster Jam: Urban Assult
I bought this game for my 6 yr old son for Christmas. He has been playing it on his PS2 every chance he gets since then. It is easy for him to play and the trucks really appeal to him. Unlocking the features is easier and the methodology is better explained than in the original Monster Jam version of the game. With the many trucks, tracks, and objectives it can keep one interested for a long time without becoming boring. He can play the same level with each of the 27 trucks and each time it is a new experience. Great game, I highly recommend it!

5 Stars One of the best games out there!
Of the limited monster jam games available, this is the best one so far! The graphics are very close to real life, the tracks are challenging and fun. This is a very good game!

4 Stars Great fun for all/most the family
A great game; FOR ITS TARGET AUDIENCE. If you are 8-10 years old you will probably love it… if not it might be a bit easy and repatative.

If you can grab four friends to play a game of cricket or 9-18 holes of disc golf; then people of any age will love it.

Fun for ALL the familly…well maybe not the Emo teenager locked in thier room..

1 Star Very disappointed
The games are very poorly designed. There is no fun in these games, it will frustrate you. Kids even don’t like it because the re is not much action and fun in this cd. Avoid buying it if you can.

5 Stars disc golf fun year around
My husband is a huge disc golfer said this is the first disc golf game he has ever found thinks its good fun

5 Stars Big Beach Sports
The whole family really enjoy playing this game because we love the beach and this is a way for us to participate in different beach activities while were inside our house…..!

3 Stars Not great
The graphics leave something to be desired. Not as fun as it should be.

4 Stars JTG
My Kids 7 & 11 love the game. It keeps them busy for hours, and they are so excited to show me what they have done with their park.

5 Stars Addicting fun!
My roomate and I love this game and find it very addicting… one of our wii favorites for half the price of many other games. We are both in our twenties and thought this game would mimic rollercoaster tycoon for casual play… then we discovered the challenges and minigames which keep you locked in the game for hours, opening new parks, completing missions, and even playing the minigames on multiplayer mode. A great buy for both people who want casual play at your own pace fun and challenging timed and scored fun!

5 Stars more fun than I expected!
It was more fun than I expected and I expected it to be awsome! This game is

4 Stars Good gift for my son. Was stuck at first and would not work.
We were worried we would have to send it back. It was unreadable at first. But we really cleaned it good, and now it is fine. Thanks.

4 Stars GOOD GAME
MY SON LIKED THE GAME AND HE PLAYED IT EVERYDAY UNTIL HE WON THE GAME.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Excellent
I got this game as a gift and the 8 year old enjoyed playing with it. Its very realistic and fun for the whole family. The 2 year old seem to enjoy the most!!

2 Stars Strictly a multiplayer game.
Yes, the fact that I have to play this to no end to unlock players that should already be in the game is quite annoying. I’ve found that playing with the nunchuck is more enjoyable, more controlling, than with the wheel. Also the ridiculousness of coming in late in a race when it is practically in the bag is just too much. It’s a good multiplayer game. That’s about it. It was a much better game on 64! Might as well buy that system and the original if you want to have fun.

5 Stars Yes, it is the best Wii Game!
FUN, FUN, FUN!! We’ve had this game for 5 months. My husband and I, who don’t even like video games, play this with our kids at least a few times a week. (And we’ve both been busted sneaking off and working on our personal “driver’s licences.” We got the Wii and this game for the kids, and we love it as much as them… the best is doing it all together. We have 15 Wii games and this one gets played WAY more than the others combined. If you only have this one game, the Wii console is totally worth it.

4 Stars Geat game!
It’s a great game! If you like racing, You’ll love this game, but when you first get the game, you don’t have all the tracks. It is cool because when you have a dirt bike, you can do “pop a wheelies”. And sometimes, baby carriagages rock because I’ve gotten first place with a baby carriage! I like racing with my friend G.B. except when he crashes into me. If you’re thinking about buying a racing game, I would buy this one. And, if you only have one steering wheel, and you want to race with a friend, you can use the remote by it’s self. You have a choice of characters to choose from and each character has their own selection of vehicles.

4 Stars fun driving game, but not a driving simulator
Great game for kids. Buy an aftermarket wheel to complement the one that comes with the game and play in 2 person mode for even more fun.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Good game you will get a workout
This is a good game you will work your arms in some of the events. Most of the events are really fun and a good workout. One player and two player modes are really good. Learning how to do some events can be tough.Creating a person that looks like you is tough. Some of the motions don’t match the events but most of this game is really good.

3 Stars Unless your a gamer
Unless your really into video games, you’ll find this pretty hard to play. The graphics are great but it throws you into 3-D mode in the middle of your play. Definately for a more experienced player than me.

Wii sports and Wii games is a lot more user friendly and very fun.

5 Stars Love this game
Personally, I love any game that involves competition and medal/award winning. There are so many events in this game and each competition is pretty unique. There is also the ability to create a custom competition and compete in only the events you choose. This game (at least for me) is not one that you master on the first time you play it. It takes practice. You are able to play alone against NPCs or with up to 4 people. It is a great workout for the arms and shoulders. I really enjoy it.

4 Stars Great work out for the arms!
This game uses nunchucks and you are constantly working out those arms! I’m still trying to get used to the swimming and diving part as well cycling but let me tell you, you will be tired but in a fun way! Great game if you are challenging someone to a race. Great buy!

3 Stars A workout for sure!
This game will definitely get all your muscles working! Exactly how I thought the running events would be (drumming the nunchuck and the controller). Same for the throwing events, though it does take some time to get the timing down. The archery is pretty cool. Personally I think the diving is the hardest thing to master. First time is a little muddled to figure out how to do split screen, create your own player ect (but then again I never read the book, I just fire it up!)

A good game if you are trapped inside with some friends for a friendly competition!
