4 Stars Learn to play it and it’s a lot of fun
This game is not a great “rental”. You need to spend some time with it, just like you need to spend time with real bowling, to become good at it. I think the folks who dislike it expected a cute little diversion, like the pack-in, but instead got handed a more realistic simulation that they, frankly, couldn’t handle.

There’s no doubt that this game was rushed. No options for different balls, ball weights, lane conditions, etc. However, anyone who thinks this game is worse than the pack-in Wii-Sports bowling has been competing against his Grandma too much. After getting a feel for this game and the far more realistic control it provides, Wii Sports bowling, well, just sucks.

This game provides a far more realistic bowling experience for your Wii, [...]

Get it and learn to play it. You won’t be sorry.

2 Stars wii bowling is better
we still do not know how to get the controllers working so that 4 people can play at the same time. we use one controller and that is just not fun.

2 Stars Ok game..but Wii Sports is much more fun.
The game is ok. But the ball is hard to control. The Wii sports bowling that comes with the system is soooo much more fun.

1 Star Total waste if you’re left-handed
I can’t believe this company thinks the whole bowling world is right-handed. But judging by the rest of the reviews, which hand you use is irrelevant because the game is a total disappointment. What a waste of money.

1 Star Complete waiste of money – DON’T BUY
I bought this game as a christmas gift for my daughter and it was a complete waiste of money. The gameplay sucks. And when I could not set up more than one wii remote for mulitple players I emailed the developers and asked them how to do it assumming that I was doing something wrong.

After a week I finally got a response from them telling me that they were to stupid to set up the game to support more than one wii remote so although the game can be played by up to 4 players, each player has to pass the one wii remote between each other for each turn.

I will never buy anything that was developed by mudduck software again…these people clearly don’t have any idea what they are doing!

Surfs Up

Surf’s Up is exciting arcade surfing and extreme sports action. Head out to the “Reggie Belafonte Big Z Memorial Surf Off,” where surfers from around the world risk it all for glory. Experience the rush and thrills of surfing in exotic surf spots around Pen Gu Island and can rip it up and play as one of 10 characters from the film. Play as Cody, the young challenger from Shiverpool; Tank, the merciless champion; or Big Z, the surfing legend from the past. Only by mastering and understanding the waves can the player become not only the new champion, but a true surf legend.

5 Stars Grandson loves it!
Never has my grandson liked any gift more than,”Surf’s Up.” His dad says when my grandson gets up in the morning the first thing he has been saying is”Dad can I play “Surf’s Up” now?”

Liam, my grandson is five.

4 Stars A fun that didn the job as a Xmas gift to my cousin
It was fun to play, exciting, and kept him sitting for hours on his Wii. It made even him wrestle him for to give a couple of shots at playing it.

5 Stars great game
I do not know why this is recommended for those aged ten and over. My seven year old loves it, and it has worked out fine for her. She absolutely loves it. Coming from a family of surfers, she gets right into it, challenging her surfer father to see if she can beat him. The games closely matches the movie as far as graphics.

5 Stars Surfing Grandma!
I bought this game for the grandchildren to play when they come over, but I had to try it out first and now I’m hooked. The graphics are absolutely breathtaking to start with. I could never get the hang of using the nunchuck and the other controller at the same time in any other game the kids played. This one has a wonderful teaching area that lets you practice each move until you get it right. And you use every imaginable move on both remotes – I think the grandkids are going to get a real surprise when they see Grandma – I just might beat them at this game! I can’t believe how much fun it is to play this, and now I can’t wait for someone to play it with!!

5 Stars Fun Game
“Surf’s Up” is so much fun….I enjoy playing it as much as my kids. And the price…you can’t beat it!

4 Stars A good rental… Not a good buy.
My mom purchased smarty pants for me 2 weeks ago.

I wish we would have rented it first it is kinda fun but gets old fast.

It is a great game to rent for a family get togeter but not such a good buy.

5 Stars Great Challenge
A great group game. Like Trivial Pursuit but a faster paced game. Fun for all ages.

4 Stars Fun game, good questions
Overall a fun game with decent trivia questions. Plays like a game show. Neat animations. Lets you play with four Wii controllers simultaneously, allows you to use your own Mii for each contestant. Good for parties.

4 Stars Ready for Next Version
Wii “Smarty Pants”:

Great game for “mental” exercise.. If you need a game to keep you mentally “humble”, this will not bore you. Frustrate, but not bore.

I am hoping for another version soon with different catagories, like history, current events, politics, TV and geography. I personally know little about “art” and “fashion” and care little about learning them. The current “Smarty Pants” asks way too many sports questions that are dated back as far as into the 20’s and 30’s. (I am NOT that old!) We do better playing our daughter’s “age” of 34.

This “Smarty Pants” game is mostly super entertainment. But Wii, please provide another “Smarty Shorts” ASAP! Thanks for this one, though!!

3 Stars Not a Smarty Pants……….
If you like game shows this is pretty good. The questions are agecentric, which is nice, I guess; I am going to enter a younger age, I’m tired of all the disco questions. But, we (hubby & me) had a lot of fun, it would probably be more fun with more players.

With one press conference Nintendo managed to kill every bit of good will the hardcore gaming community felt towards them. We liked seeing them being successful and profitable and get back on top, but now they've abandoned the people who kept them afloat all these years and want to do nothing else than grab your Grandma's money. If you help them...

4 Stars Smarty Pants
Smarty Pants on the Wii is actually fun for all ages. My 60-year-old dad (who hates video games, but does like trivia) actually played this with us. He got the hang of ringing in and aiming/ using the Wii remote pretty quickly. And then he proceeded to beat us!!!

So, Smarty Pants is actually fun for everyone – even fun for people who normally don’t get into video games. But that’s part of the allure of the Wii in general too.

This is a great game to have on hand if you’re going to be having company, or a party. Just make sure you have enough remotes to go around. Also, I would not recommend it if you don’t have at least four people to play it. With any less than four, it’s just not that much fun.
