Wii Wireless Sensor Bar

Enjoy and enhance your playing experience with your Wii like never before with this Wireless Sensor Bar. It allows full remote functionality without the hassle of tangled wires connected to the console, which makes for a safer environment, and not to mention a more organized look. The infrared field created by the sensor bar allows for play up to 8 feet away, ideal for active games that require body movement. It is operated by two AA batteries (not included) and has a power saver mode that shuts down when the bar is not in use, which allows for a lengthier playing time. No installation or drivers are required for set up; just place the sensor bar in the Wii’s sensor bar stand (or anywhere desired), turn on the on/off switch in the rear, and you are ready to rock and roll.

1 Star Not worth it
I just bought this bar a few days ago and got it in the mail, today. In a way, it is misleading, telling you it requires 3 AAA batteries, when it only takes two, and mine works LESS than 8 feet away. It’s rather annoying, because even when you are less than 8 feet away, the icon from your Wii mote begins to shake badly, and sometimes fades in and out. I am very upset that I paid money for an item that fails to deliver. If anything, I advise peopel to steer clear of this product!

3 Stars The image is misleading!
The product works fine when you are about 8 feet away, any farther it stops sensing your wiimote. Also, the sensor is actually white with a black strip. It looks nothing like the picture. It won’t match your black TV.

4 Stars It works. Well, sort of.
I received the WII wireless sensor and it works. Except for the on/off switch is backwards. Hehe. It’s actually on when you set it to off and off when you set it to on. But it works just fine.

Mini Desktop Racing

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star The worst view
I really like the concept for this game. My nieces and myself were very excited when we received it in the mail. That excitement quickly wore off when we stated playing it. The game is way to difficult from the menu on. My older niece is pretty video game savvy and she could barely make it throught the menu. Then we started racing. THe game would’ve been wonderful, but the view killed all of that. The steering is quite easy to master, but you only get to see the course directly in front of you from an overhaed view that looks directly down on your car. so, there is basically no way of knowing what is coming up in the course. I highly reccomend not wasting your money on this game.

1 Star Thank heavens I now have a coaster for my drink!!!
Please listen to the other reviews. I love the Wii and I love racing games, but this is not the game you are looking for. Go and buy Mario Cart. I’ve had more fun clipping my fingernails than playing this game. The only thing this game is good for is to use the disc as a coaster for my drinking glass.

1 Star Wow is right
This could quite possibly get the nod for the worst video game of all time. I’ve been an avid gamer since Pong so I’ve seen some god-awful games in my time. To imagine a game that not only looks this bad considering it’s on the Wii, but is also terrible in the game play avenue as well. I must say… I’m not even mad, in fact, I’m kind of impressed.

1 Star Ugh, this game could have been so much better.
First off I really liked the idea of this game when I saw it on the shelf at my local store. I put it on my wishlist for Xmas and received it as a gift. Now I feel bad for the person who bought it for me because I have played it once and don’t think I ever will again.

First problem with the game is the controls. In the typical driving games you need to hold the Wii-mote by each end and turn it left/right like a wheel. This game requires that you hold it normally and point it at the screen. Turning requires you to roll your wrist left and right to make the car turn. Not accurate and not intuitive. They should have made the controls require the Wii steering wheel OR to make then the same as the cow racing game in Wii Play.

Second problem is with the camera angle. I understand that the bird’s eye view is cool so that you can see your little Mini racing on the desktop around erasers and coffe cups, but it makes it near impossible to anticipate the obstacles you are about to encounter.

I am disappointed. I hope that there are other racing games for the Wii that can capture the playful spirit Nintendo and the Wii aimed for Mini Desktop Racing, while actually being fun to play. This game is a failure.

1 Star WOW
This game is absolutely terrible. The graphics look like pre-N64 games. It’s sad because the concept behind the title could really be inventive. The gameplay is boring, and the graphics stink. Stay far away from this one
