4 Stars Sims Party
I bought this for my 11-year-old daughter for her birthday last week. She has played it every time she has turned on the wii in the last week and loves it! She really enjoys even just creating her character as there seem to be alot of things to choose from to personalize them. I have yet to play it but the kids (11 & 6) have been cracking up at the giant robot chasing them and other mini games they have played. They got their Aunt and Uncle playing on Easter and they were all having fun with it. Seems like a great game for a group of kids to play together!

4 Stars Pretty Fun
This game is nice because it does have alot of games. Haven’t been able to really check it out. I can’t get a turn.

3 Stars Take the good with the bad
I have a daughter who’s 7 and a son who’s 5, and we love video games. We are big fans of Mario Party 8, which made us interested in this game. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros: like the festivals (set of mini-games with little “surprise games” mixed in) because they make a game shorter than a game of Mario Party, games are good and simple to learn but difficult to master, no “practice” mode for a mini-game (my son will double the length of a game of MP8 if we don’t limit practices), kids like the MySims “village” where the festivals take place, like the different qualities of each player (stamina, health, luck, and something else) that change throughout the game.

Cons: Wii selection controls are annoying and make too much noise, the Sims you can choose from are pretty limited, making more Sims for your game is difficult. The minigame play is solid, but the controls between games and selecting options/players are just aggravating.

We like the game but don’t love it. It is a little cutesy, which my kids can take or leave, but you can deal with it. Definitely rent before you buy this one.

4 Stars Fun for kids
I bought this as a present for my 8 year old niece and she loves it! She thinks the mysims characters are adorable, and seems to really enjoy the game selection. Probably not for older kids or adults, but lots of fun for the younger game players in the house.

1 Star Party Bummer
Uninspired game play, poor controls and unimaginative mini-games about sums up this title. If you’ve played any of the other party games out there then My Sims Party will seem basic at best. My 5 and 7 year old boys played this game for 10 minutes before turning it off. The controls feel as if your playing in mud, controller input is often missed, making some of the mini-games an exercise in frustration. Graphics are a step down from the other Wii Sims games, not that they were great to begin with.

5 Stars good but fair?
it is extremely great but one problem…it is not FAIR! if you lose a game to Bowser you lose all your stars or coins and if you ride a chain chomp someone loses a star you would not like it if someone to take your star would you? anyway BUY IT! NOW!

4 Stars 3 1/2 stars
good game, fun with friends, short, if your friends dont know the mini games you will always win, the mic games blow (unless you own a gamecube compatible mic), est value about $15.

3 Stars My least favorite Mario Party
I have played every Mario Party game and sadly I have to say this is my least favorite. I still enjoyed it but some minigames can get very boring although there are many characters to choose from. The only board map that is fun to me is the one where you need to climb a mountain to get a star. The best Mario Party games would probably be Mario Party 2, 3, and 4. Try to get those. But you should still get this Mario Party.

5 Stars I LOVE Mario Party!!
I love this game!! Once I was supposed to be picked up from my friends house, and we played Mario Party 7 for 2 extra hours! =) Anyway, the point of the game is to stop Bowser and to collect Stars. You can play player-vs.-player, or computer-vs.player. When you get tired of the game, you can go to the menu and just play the mini-games. The only problem with the game is is… I don’t have a Gamecube! Why can’t they make Mario Party on PS2???? ;)

4 Stars It’s mini-game-tacular
Lots of minigames, the microphone stuff is kind of lame, but the rest of the games are okay.

5 Stars Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
This game is a lot of fun for the whole family. It is great for all ages and challenging enough for anyone.

3 Stars Got old quick and controls are sketchy
We rarely play this any more and the novelty wore off after like a week.

5 Stars Great fun and Challenge
This game is great. Great challenges, I thought it was be easier to play each event but boy was I wrong! It’s challenging but in a fun sort of way. It has been a blast playing each event and missions. But you have to have great eye / hand coordination but some games take great skill.

Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I am!!

5 Stars Very enjoyable for the kids, amusing for adults
The game arrived promptly, actually before I expected it. Kudos to Amazon for the quick shipping. Worked very well after my son learned to put it in the right way round! Now we can laugh at the way they look trying to swim while standing upright! Good value. Certainly not a game to make a couch potato out of our kids.

One note of caution: At $45 for the game, you want to make sure your kids will enjoy the game before you put down money for it. I would suggest renting it locally to give it a trial for at least a couple of days first.

5 Stars hack link
The basic premise of the game is that you select a character to compete against either other people or AI characters in various Olympic events. You have your choice of 8 classic Mario characters, 8 Sonic characters, or anyone from your Mii Village. Each character has different strengths and weaknesses, though what those precisely are is revealed only through game play. Out of the box, you know which characters are generally more speedy, powerful, skilled, or all around talented.

Super Mario All Stars

Super Nintendo Version. From the Manufacturer
Super Mario All Stars is a collection of Mario’s four greatest adventures in one awesome game pack. With improved graphics and sound for the Super NES, SMB1, SMB2, SMB3, and the Lost Levels, demonstrate the 16 bit excellence we’ve become accustomed to.
Released as SMB2 in Japan, the Lost Levels’ design and play control will remind you of SMB1 but the challenge is far beyond any previous SMB game. The game features multiple scrolling backgrounds, 52 levels of play and lots of enemies for Mario to crush

5 Stars wow
I’ve had this since it came out it cam with my super and i still have both working great and wow this was good we still go back and play it drunk and have a blast

5 Stars Awesome compilation/remake of classic Mario games
This SNES collection of classic entries in the Super Mario Bros. series is really neat for your collection. It contains Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, 3, and The Lost Levels. Super Mario Bros. was the highest-selling video game of all time, until that record was beaten by Wii Sports about 24 years later. It was really fun and helped set the milestone for video gaming to come. The Lost Levels was the true sequel to the original. It has virtually the same gameplay, graphics, and music, but more challenging than ever. Because of the difficulty, it was originally only released on Japan and we got the U.S. Super Mario 2, which is basically a reworked version of Doki Doki Panic also released for the Famicom Disc System in Japan, but with Mario characters slapped on it. It was the black sheep of the series, but decent nonetheless. The third was one of the best NES games of all time, next to The Legend of Zelda. There is also a version with Super mario World as well, which was awesome and every bit as good as Super Mario 3. Their original NES revisions are also great. If you want to relive these timeless classics and own an SNES, please pick this collection up. You won’t be disappointed.

4 Stars Great scope. Good old fashioned fun.
To me what is appealing about this game is that there are enough choices to make the play fun. Classic super mario, looks great and plays a little better than the original, and playing the other classics with enhanced graphics is a lot of fun. The only downside to this game is the lost levels selection. This particular part of this game is one of the all time hardest most difficult play in nintendo history, which is ok if you are an experienced gamer and desire the challenge. But if you are just looking for fun, don’t even think of trying this selection. Just stick to the other mario adventures and you’ll be fine. I will never forget how challenging those levels were. I remember crying because they were so hard. This game is definitely one of the better ideas in nintendo history. Putting all three mario titles on one cartridge was genius on the part of nintendo. Definitely worth having.

5 Stars Reliving All The Classics
Anyone who’s ever set eyes on this game has more than likely, at one point in time, owned or at least played one of the classic Mario games released for the NES. That’s the primary appeal to this game. It brings back the joy of playing those oldies in a newer, updated format.

Super Mario All-Stars is nothing more than a collection of all the Super Mario games released on the NES with updated graphics on par with the standards of the SNES. The game was eventually released in two flavors with the only difference being that the later release contained Super Mario World on it as well.

Basically you have Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3 and the “actual” Super Mario Bros. 2 which is called “Super Mario Bros. – The Lost Levels.” Now this is something that a lot of people aren’t really aware of so I’ll provide some background. Basically what we saw as Super Mario Bros. 2 wasn’t really supposed to be Super Mario Bros. 2. What we got was a game that was actually called “Doki-Doki Panic” remade with Mario sprites. Nintendo believed that the game that was actually supposed to be Super Mario Bros. 2 was too hard for American audiences so it was never released here, that is until Super Mario All-Stars came along.

As far as updates to the actual games go, there really isn’t anything worth mentioning other than the graphics. Nintendo didn’t add anything to the gameplay aspects in any of the games instead just opting out to graphical modifications. The games all play as they did if you were to play them on the NES just with a SNES look and feel to them.

There really isn’t much more to say about this game. If you liked the original Mario games, then this game is a must have for your SNES collection.

3 Stars Super Mario
My kids ages 5 and 3 really enjoy this game. Why buy a new system when you can have the classics? This is great for younger kids.

I’ve signed up for two weeks off work this holiday season, but I other than a visit to see Bellyscratcher this weekend, I don’t really have any plans. So it seems like I ought to be able to pull off at least a post a day for the next couple weeks. And yet, before I can turn my brain to baseball matters, I’ve got to clear out some of this holiday junk that’s cluttering things up. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games for Wii is a game we got last year for Christmas, and this year it’s a game we’ll
