Medal of Honor Vanguard

Medal of Honor Vanguard

Medal of Honor Vanguard lets you return to the days of the Second World War, for more of its pioneering first-person shooter action. Join the ranks of the elite 82nd Airborne Division as Corporal Frank Keegan. You’ll guide him through some of WWII’s deadliest operations — dropping behind enemy lines, sometimes right on top of entrenched Axis positions. Work with America’s first paratroopers on heroic missions, from Operation Husky in Sicily to Operation Varsity inside Nazi Germany. Medal of Honor Vanguard makes you the driving force in the struggle to liberate Europe.

1 Star Medal Of Honor-Vanguard
As first person Shooter games go, MOH is not too bad. It is a bit easier than some of the other EA games such as the Battle Field series. You are limited in strategies and weapons available. Ammunition is in short supply for much of the game which adds a touch or realism to the game I suppose.

The player gets to participate in the 82nd Air Borne operations in the European theater during WWII much While at times challenging, it lacks save points. If you don’t complete an operation or have to quiit, you loose all the medals and ground you have covered up to that point. It makes an operation one long and tedious task. Other EA games function better.

4 Stars medal of honor Vanguard
Really enjoyed the game, since i am not a big gamer it was easy to learn, fun and a bargain price. I am sure the real gamers will find the graphic fair at best and the game easy to beat but for a first timer it was worth every penny

4 Stars Good game with some problems
[...] I’d played Call of Duty 3 for Wii and hated it, but i’ve always been a big Medal of Honor Fan so I thought I’d give Medal of Honor Vanguard a chance.

The single player mode of the game is awesome. It’s actually very hard and it took me a long time to beat it. The last level was especially hard, i probably died 20 times.

The multiplayer mode is not very good. The levels are small, and not well designed. The only reason i even play multiplayer is because it’s the only first person shooter with 4 player multiplayer that i own. (Call of duty world at war and Medal of Honor 2 Heroes only have online multiplayer)

Graphics wise, Vanguard looks about as good as any gamecube game.

But the main problem of the game is the brightness. Many of the levels are VERY dark. So dark in fact, that it is almost impossible to play unless you are in a pitch black room.

Overall, Vanguard is a fun wii game and I’d recommend it.

But there are better games out there for wii and i would definitely get Call of Duty World at War instead of Vanguard.

4 Stars Medal Of Honor
Bought the game for my uncle, not sure how much hes played it but i do know that he hasnt complained at all about it

4 Stars Don’t Expect Pinpoint Accuracy or WII Blaster Aim Adjusting
When ordering this game I was aiming to find a game that could use a WII light gun like the WII Blaster or similar accessories. Although you can use a WII blaster with the game to aim and shoot, the game was not designed for accuracy. On the back cover of the game you will notice that WII Blaster is not indicated as a compatible accessory. As I have learned on a 32″ TV the way the WII sensor bar sits either above or below causes an inaccuracy for any pinpoint aiming (approximately 1-2″ based on distance from sensor). The game itself contains no way to center for pinpoint accuracy like Links Crossbow Training, so don’t expect to play like a sniper. If you want to have pinpoint accuracy you will need to go to google and look up DIY sensor bars to change the height for distance ratio. Other than use with a WII Light Gun the game has excellent graphics and gameplay.

3 Stars Wii play it once in a while.
Wii play is worth the few extra dollars you would otherwise spend getting a remote you need anyway, although its hasn’t been something we play very often. It’s basically an inexpensive way to begin building your game library and provide some options.

5 Stars Nana is finally off the sofa!!
I love, love, love the Wii! It is a wonderful motivator! A truly fun way to move your body without being bored!!

3 Stars wii play–kids love it
our 5 and 8 year old play these games. the 8yr old like several of them, though not all. our 5 year old is less interested. we mainly purchased this as a more efficient way to get a second remote. it’s a no brainer way to get another remote for the wii, but i wouldn’t purchase the game if the remote didn’t come with it.

5 Stars Perfect addition
It’s a no-brainer to get this package for a 2nd controller. The set of games is really fun and a nice addition to WiiSports, especially when you have friends and family over. :)

5 Stars remote
best to buy wii play comes with control control solo cost almost the same

4 Stars Wii Sports alike game
Similar to Wii Sports, but it includes some interesting casual games. I wished it had Wifi logo on it.

4 Stars Wii Play Game With Remote
The games are great fun, and keep you moving. You feel like you really are at a bowling alley, or on the tennis courts. The remote helped us be able to play the games as a group.

3 Stars Wii Play Review
this wii game is not a necessity, but it is a great way to get a new game and a remote at the same time, the games are very elementary.

5 Stars Good Value for an Extra Wii Remote + Game
This is a good purchase for anyone looking to get another Wii Remote for their Nintendo Wii console.

The Wii Play game itself doesn’t offer much, but there are some mini games in there that might be somewhat interesting and can provide some fun for short periods of time especially with friends over.

Packaged with the Wii Remote makes this a worthwhile game. Don’t buy this for the game itself.

4 Stars Wii Play
It’s not as much fun as other games, but I’m glad I purchased it, plus it came with a free remote.

Wii’s World of Goo-d multiplayer

October 7th, 2008 Nintendo Wii Review No comments
Filed under: Nintendo Wii, Action, Puzzle One week from today, WiiWare wil find itself in a sticky situation of - based on our hands-on time - the best possible kind. 2D Boy's World of Goo hits splorts onto Wii on October 13, and it, er you, won't be alone (in playing it). Neither were we when we gave its multiplayer mode a spin, blop, and splat with three other Wiimote-wielders at Nintendo's Fall Media Summit. The game was just as charming and sticky as ever, only now we were glomming gooey

1 Star Another lame game for the Wii…
The Wii is conceptually a fun and unique idea, and it is fun and unique to play…for awhile.

However, 95% of the Wii software is janky. Have you seen the titles?? Hannah Frickin’ Montanna?? You’ve got to be kidding me! Petz?? BARF!! The 10 games on Wii play are mostly worthless, those that are kinda fun get real old real quick.

If you’ve already purchased the Wii, save your $10 and just buy another Wii remote, if you need another Wii remote. Hopefully we’ll see some decent titles soon!

If you haven’t bought a Wii yet, don’t. Just wait for some better titles to come out.

–peace

4 Stars some fun
Good bargain for games and remote. Most games become monotinous because fields never vary or they are very simlistic. Enjoy the billards.

4 Stars Need another Wii controller?
Wii Play in this form comes bundled with a Wii remote. There is a reason for this – Wii Play is not quite a stand-alone game. In fact, it feels like a primer on how to use your Wii remote, in the form of nine various mini-games. As a plus, the variety is good. Only a few have replay value past a few run-throughs. If you are relatively new to Wii, and need another remote anyways, this is a good value. Otherwise, skip.

4 Stars Wii Play
Some of the games are goofy but fun, like the cow race. Others are regular sport like the shooting and pool. Overall worth it when you get it with the Wii remote package.Wii Play with Wii Remote

2 Stars Didn’t work
The product didn’t work. I got one at Wal Mart for more money and it works great.

Ghost Squad

August 23rd, 2008 Nintendo Wii Review No comments

Ghost Squad

SEGA’s top-grossing light gun game, Ghost Squad, comes to the Wii system and replicates the excitement of the arcade experience in your home! The Ghost Squad is a Special Forces unit established in strict secrecy by the U.N. to combat terrorism and carry out special highly-classified missions without leaving a trace. As an elite member of the Ghost Squad, players will complete dangerous missions such as eliminating terrorist groups, releasing hostages, deactivating bombs, and even rescuing the U.S. President when terrorists hijack Air Force One! Using the Wii Remote, players will utilize revolutionary selectable weapons including a high-powered rifle, submachine gun and shotgun, or even engage in hand-to-hand combat. Features: Unlock 25 different tactical weapons including sniper and assault rifles, submachine guns, handguns, and more. Ghost Squad operatives on missions in complete darkness will utilize night vision, thermo vision and a flashlight to ensure that the operation is a success.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Excellent Game
I have a 5 year old son who’s not into blasting people away. But since this are terrorists, he loves it. My wife loves it too and in the multiplayer option you just can’t miss. You’ll find hours of entertainment with different missions, different places, different costumes…. it’s great. I highly recommend it if you love to play arcade games. I don’t have a zapper, but I guess it’s better with it.

2 Stars Multiplayer problems
The multiplayer mode is a major feature of this game but the game will not recognize my second remote. All other Wii games recognize the other remote in multi player mode. Ghost Squad just flashes when I press the + button on the second remote. Without the multiple player feature, this game is not worth purchasing. I have not seen any resolutions to the problem of recognizing a second remote.

1 Star it sucked!
this is probably the worst game in the world there r only 3 missions. after u beat them it is so boring. DO NOT BUY I WASTED MY MONEY ON A PIECE OF JUNK!!!!!!!!. U cant even move around. iT DOES IT FOR U. not a impressive game!!!!!!!!!

5 Stars Great Game
My girlfriend and I love this game. I also own House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return, and its great to have two awesome shooting games for Wii. Just as I did in my review for HotD, I highly recommend picking up the Wii Perfect Shot Gun for use in this game.

I like unlocking weapons and costumes, it adds some replay value to the game. I also like the fact that you have an infinite ammount of continues (Although in HotD, I get more satisfaction when I win on my set ammount of lifes).

Skipping cutscenes is annoying if you are using the Perfect Shot (and probably the zapper). I only hold the Perfect Shot with one hand, and the action button (skip cutscene button) is the a button, so its usually annoying to push. It is also awkward to do the action scenes in the game, and change shot type, but its something that I can get used to.

There are a few mini games under the training section which are pretty fun to play. I haven’t tried out party mode yet, but I’ve heard good reviews about it.

5 Stars Great “Shooter” For The Wii
“Ghost Squad” is a very enjoyable shooting game! My son and I liked to play the arcade version together and the Wii game brings the same enjoyment into our living room. The missions are very fun and are certainly challenging enough. There are some hidden “easter eggs” in the game (the “Panda Suit” is a hoot, and there are many others).

Use the WiiRemote by itself is difficult to get accurate shots so my son likes to use Wii Zapper with Link’s Crossbow Training and I prefer the Wii Perfect Shot Gun . Our accuracy was much improved using these guns!

Highly recommended!
