2 Stars There are better games available
I found the controls very difficult. The tracks are nothing like actual race tracks. This game barely qualifies as a racing game.

2 Stars Doesn’t live up to expectations.
This game would have rivaled MarioKart if it would have been programmed correctly, instead it disappoints as badly as Desktop Racing.

Graphics are horrible even for a ‘lesser’ system, most of the time you can’t find the track and/or your car.

Car options are non-existant.

No steering assist for younger children.

This game is so bad, I can’t even eat M&M’s anymore!

1 Star Terrible, don’t waste your money
There is nothing good about this game. Can’t believe M&M would tarnish there reputation by putting their name on such a bad game. Now I have two disappointed children and a game I can’t bring back.

2 Stars Novelty at best
Just as other reviewers stated the controls are difficult and you run into everything. No maps, dark scenes, and poor control handling make this game a poor selection.

I have owned this game for awhile now. I am an avid M&M fan and collector. I thought this game like other driving skill games would be loads of fun. IT IS NOT. I gave it a 1-star for fun and 2-star because of the M&M characters.

Zoo games just makes bad games period. I own another M&M game- M&M adventures, also made by Zoo games. I wish M&Ms or Mars would cancel their contract and find a new game vendor, because I like the idea of M&Ms in video games and the concepts are good but the games SUCK.

4 Stars My 8 year old son loves it, but takes some getting used to.
My 8 year old son really wanted this game, so we came to Amazon to check out the reviews. Wow, they were not good. One person even went as far as saying something to the effect that if after reading these reviews you still purchase it, you must not love your child…that review devastated my son! He said he really wanted it, but if buying it for me meant I didn’t love him, he didn’t want it…watch what you write folks!

We were at K-Mart the other day, my son strayed into the video game area and found this game for $14.99 and asked if we could get it even though the reviews on Amazon weren’t good. I agreed to and we have played it 3 nights in a row. He told me last night that this is his favorite game we have and we have several. I asked if he likes it better than Mario Kart and Spider Man Friend or Foe and he said “Yes!”

As for myself, I’m 40 years old and do get frustrated with the game on a couple of the screens, which you have to win to open others. But for the most part, it was worth the money. I do suggest playing it with the wheel, it makes the game more fun and I think it makes the game easier to play too.

So, go with what you think you might like. It’s not a big investment and if you, or your child, think you will like it, give it a try…you can always sell it here or on ebay later.

Cooking Mama World Kitchen

Cooking Mama World Kitchen

Mama and friends have a whole new look in Cooking Mama: World Kitchen, given the game’s upgrade to full 3D graphics. By utilizing the Wii Remote as a universal kitchen utensil, you can simulate actual cooking by chopping, grating, slicing, stirring and rolling your way through all new recipes that range from parfait to shrimp au gratin. Best of all, kitchen mistakes during meal preparation result in comedic mini-game surprises; for example, if you flip a burger too high, you can control Mama as she rushes in to save the day by catching it in her apron. Finally, a new game play mechanic integrates traditional Wii Remote utensil play with additional rhythm and motion that makes cooking easier and more enjoyable.

Share the cooking experience with Mama and all of her friends since everyone can now prepare meals in Mama’s kitchen. Mama’s friends will evaluate your meal once it’s made Comedic mini-games (i.e. flip a burger up in the air and Mama’s dog will run in and snatch it away; toss a pancake and control Mama as she runs in to save it with an apron catch) Save these surprise animations in an album you can review after gameplay Real-time effects make you feel like you’re actually cooking. Adjust your timing and make decisions about your next course of action based on what you see on screen (i.e. if food is starting to look burned, quickly remove it from the burner, etc.). Earn bronze, silver, and gold medals from Mama in Let’s Cook mode based on the quality of your cooking

4 Stars Good Family Game
This is a great game the whole family can enjoy. Not a lot of instructions, kind of a learn by trial game.

5 Stars Superfun! The kids love it.
The kids just love cooking mama. You can’t go wrong getting this for any kid, any age really. This is a great alternative to all the blood/guts/war games out there. My kids are competitive and try to out cook each other all the time.

1 Star What in the world?
I agree with the other low-rating reviews here. This was my first venture into the Cooking Mama series, so I’m guessing the first ones were good enough to merit this poor sequel. This must be much easier on DS where you’re not relying on guessing the right motion! There is practically no instruction on what you are supposed to do in each step, and the manual is no help either. Does anyone know what the commentary says – I can’t understand the ‘Engrish!’ “Thas okay, Mama hep you”??

Thankfully I rented it for the half hour I tried to play it. Short sequence times, easy to fail, annoying minigames, frustrating, ugh!

4 Stars Fun game!
I bought this because I love cooking. It is hard and you do work up a sweat. It is hard doing some things and it is easy to fail. It is a great game though overall.

2 Stars Not really for adults
Well, personally I think this was a waste of money.

For a 25 year old male this game doesn’t offer anything.

The gameplay is so basic its just a big waste of money and time.

Now younger players might find this fun be we did not.

the multiplayer was also boring.

I will be selling my copy.

5 Stars Same great game with enough new twists to keep it fun!
I played the first Tomb Raider game on the Sega Saturn in the ’90s and it’s always been my favorite game. I got this one for Wii as a gift and worried that it would be too similar as I still remember stuff from the original. Don’t worry–it’s not! The locations are the same but they’ve changed enough in design to still be interesting. There are also new puzzles, different ways to move, different controls and new features for the Wii that make it feel like a new game that’s oddly familiar. I haven’t finished it but am loving it! It’s just as frustrating as the original game when you’re stumped (and I’ll admit to having looked for a couple of answers online), which makes it just as rewarding when you accomplish whatever you’re trying to do. I recommend it for anyone who prefers puzzle solving and timing challenges to straight shoot-’em-up action. The controls are different and the shooting can be tricky at first but once you get the hang of it it’s not a problem and Lara can do so much more than in the original that it makes up for a little irritation during the learning curve.

5 Stars Tomb Raider Anniversary Wii
This was my first time playing a Tomb Raider game, and I highly enjoyed it. The puzzles were challenging and fun, and of course sometimes frustrating! The only drawback (which is probably on all the versions) is that sometimes it is impossible to turn your view to actually see where you need to go. So just close your eyes, jump and pray there is a ledge or rope there!

5 Stars Tomb Raider Anniversary for WII
I like all the Tomb Raider games. And this new WII game is the best to date

5 Stars GAME!!!!!!
I love this game me and my boyfriend play it every night it is so much phone. I played the 1st tomb raider game for the very 1st playstation and couldn’t play but this one i can and love!!!!!!

4 Stars Brings back old memories while still looking new
As an early adopter of games on computers who still remembers things like DOS4GW, OpenGL and game ports on motherboards, this game really brings back some fond memories of 3D goodness back in the day. The new added controls specific to the Wiimotes is a nice-to-have feature that adds a little to the basic solid gameplay that built this franchise up from the ground with the first Tomb Raider. I got this on sale, but in my opinion it’s worth the [...] I think it regularly retails at on Amazon.

2 Stars sandisk for wii
My 12 year old bought this to help with his games. Neither of us could get it to work even after going through several sets of instructions. Don’t feel I can rate the product fairly, though the instructions are quite poorly written

1 Star Hey Nintendo, thanks for ripping us off some more!
As if paying $250-$300 for your Wii system, $20 for an extra Nunchuk, $35 for an extra Wii remote, and a good $30-$50 for a new game isn’t bad enough, now Nintendo wants to rip off the uninformed some more and charge you $15 or $20 for an official Wii 2 GB SD card. I love Nintendo as much as the next gamer, but really, this is a bit ridiculous. Why pay a minimum of fifteen dollars for one of these things when you can buy a regular 2 GB SD card that will cost you somewhere between six and eight dollars and will work and function exactly the same? Just because this card says “Wii” on the front and is white instead of your traditional blue doesn’t make it any better. Nintendo’s just out to make a few more bucks with this thing. If you’re thinking of getting one of these cards, do yourself a favor: skip over this one and buy a standard SD card instead. It’ll work just as well, and will cost you half as much.

1 Star Other SD Cards are cheaper
Hey everyone. I just bought the Wii and read somewhere that you HAVE to use a Wii SD Card. So I was kinda ticked off about it consider how much they are.

I recently bought a 2gig SD Kingston memory card for $2 online and I tried it out in the Wii.

It works fine. You do not need to buy the Wii SD Card. Your just paying for the name. Any SD Card is fine.

You can pick them up pretty much anywhere for really cheap. Especially right now due to the Holiday sales.

I just wanted to share my results.

Good luck gaming!

4 Stars A Nice Memory Card For Back-Up But No True Use For Anything Else
I got this because like so many other people I thought this would help a lot with my virtual games and save games as well. It does clean up a lot of the clutter on the Wii if you’re not playing a certain game and want to remove the data from your Wii’s memory but don’t want to take a a chance and lose any data when you do erase it from the Wii’s memory. Also like a few reviewers have said you cant move saved game data from the gamecube memory cards to the Wii’s SD card nor can you load saved game data directly from it if your playing a game which is a little inconvenient. But the one good thing is the space on the memory card means you’ll probably only have to buy one for a pretty long time before having to get another one and yes even though price is pretty step for this card. One other thing though if you go for the regular Sandisk memory card you cannot get the Sandisk HC card one these cards will not work on the Wii console I had a friend who bought one to try it out and found out this way. So all I can say for this item is if you’re looking to make more room on your Wii console memory this card is a good backup to use…

1 Star The Whole Scoop on SD cards for the Wii
I’m writing this review to clear up any confusion regarding SD cards for the Nintendo Wii:

1. Any brand of SD card will work in the Wii; more reliable brands like Sandisk will also be more reliable in the Wii.

2. There is absolutely NO DIFFERENCE between this card and a standard SD card from Sandisk, except for price. The only reason you should buy this over a standard 2 GB card is if you’re willing to pay about five times more for the “Wii” label (2 GB Sandisk cards are about $6 on Amazon as of this writing).

3. The Wii can support up to 8 GB cards, so go buy an 8 GB card for this same price if you want to spend this much. If SD cards that hold more than 8 GB are ever sold, the Wii will not support them unless Nintendo updates its firmware to do so.

4. IMPORTANT: Although it seems like a great idea to have a huge memory card to hold Virtual Console games, WiiWare, and save files, these types of files CANNOT be used directly from SD card storage in the Wii. They must be in the Wii system memory to be played, and Virtual Console and WiiWare games can be re-downloaded at any time, so a large SD card will not be particularly useful for this type of data. What an SD card will be useful for is moving save files from Wii to Wii, storing music and photos that can be accessed by the Wii, and storing special types of data that certain games(Like Super Smash Brothers) will allow you to store on an SD card rather than system memory. Unless Nintendo updates the Wii firmware to allow for save file and Virtual Console/WiiWare gameplay straight from the card, a large SD card won’t be very useful.

I hope this helped some of you. Now go buy a regular SD card for cheap!
