Nintendo Wii Intercooler

Nintendo Wii Intercooler

The Intercooler for Wii is a high efficiency, snap-on cooling device for your Wii. It uses 3 fans to increase air flow, reducing heat to promote better performance for your Wii. It snaps onto the console & fits easily inside your entertainment center in a horizontal or vertical position. The Wii Intercooler turns on and off automatically, in conjunction with the Wii system.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars excellent performance, a little noisy
As I stated in the title, the Intercooler provides a lot of cooling taking out the air from the console. The little disappoint is the noise that produces doing that, who forces to raise the tv volume in order to hear the game sound instead of the fan. Anyway, the performance justifies the annoying noise. Very recommendable.

4 Stars It works…
I bought this cooler even after read many reviews telling it makes a very loud noisy.

The reviews are right also when they said it does what he was made for and it was the cheapest at the time that I bought it.

Bottom line is: I am happy whith this product.

4 Stars Great product.
The Intercooler by Nyko actually gets the job done of keeping your Wii running cooler.

3 Stars Could be much better.
I was excited to purchase this intercooler as it was fairly cheap and it said that the fan would automatically turn off when the Wii was in standby mode. I was going to purchase another intercooler with the double charger, but saw that the fan ran continuously and this one said that the fan turned off when the Wii was in standby mode. The fan is a little noisy, but I would have been fine with that if it did turn off during standby, but it does not. It only shuts down when the Wii actually shows the red light, not the yellow light, which is standby mode (it’s green when powered on). The product appears to do it’s job in cooling the Wii, but besides that I would say that it is a little noisy and I wish it would only run when the Wii is actually powered completely on.

4 Stars For your Wii’s health
I agree with the others, this little fan is a bit loud. But one thing I noticed though was while playing certain games (Galaxy, Brawl) I forgot it was even there. On the other hand games that rely on ambient music to really set a mood, it proves to be a distraction. Other than the noise issue everything else works great. Installation is very simple and it doesn’t look too out of place sitting on the back of your Wii. All in all for 5$ its hard to say no.

The lightweight and compact dongle attaches to the bottom of the remote and provides a wireless range of up to 3 meters. The Kama Wireless Controller is the ideal solution for users demanding more flexibility and freedom while playing their favorite Wii games.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Excellent controller with a different feel than the Nunchuk
The first time you hold the Kama in your hand, you’ll notice an immediate difference from the official Nunchuk controller; it’s not better, it’s not worse, it’s just a little different. The Z and C buttons are more comfortable to press, with the Z button having a groove to rest your finger in, and the C button being much bigger than on Nintendo’s controller. The opening in which the control stick sits is perfectly circular instead of octagonal like on the Nunchuk, which is better for some games (NiGHTS) and slightly worse for others (Mario Galaxy). The control stick itself has a little less tension than Nintendo’s, so it’s easier to move overall, but very small movements are more difficult to pull off; the top of the stick is textured in such a way that your thumb slips less than on the Nunchuk which makes up for any loss of precision from the increased looseness. Performance is equivalent to the wired Nunchuk, with no noticeable lag.

The one glaring flaw with the Kama is that there’s no battery life indicator, so when the battery gets low, the Kama will unsync from the adapter in your Wii Remote and your movements will simply stop registering. If you’re in the middle of a boss fight, your character will stop responding and you’ll likely take a bit of damage before you figure out what’s wrong. In addition to the batteries in the Kama (2 AAA batteries which lasted about a month of medium use for me), you also have to watch out the batteries in the Wii Remote. The Wii Remote has to power the adapter that communicates with the Kama, and the adapter stops responding before the Wii Remote does; this means you’ll lose the Kama before the onscreen warning about the batteries in the Wii Remote comes up.

Overall, the Kama feels slightly more awkward to grip in my hand than the Nunchuk, but the superior buttons and grip on the control stick, along with the freedom to extend my arms unencumbered by a wire make me prefer it just slightly over the official controller. If not for the lack of any sort of battery life indicator, I would give it five stars. As long as you keep a fresh pair of batteries in your Wii Remote and the Kama, the Kama is a suitable and in some ways superior substitute for the official Nunchuk controller.

4 Stars I like it!
This is very nice and I like it much more than the ones with wires.:) However, it doesn’t work as wellin some certain moves and directions — you barely notice it though.:)

5 Stars great alternative to regular wii Nunchuck
This works great. Just imagine using the regular wii nunchuck without a cord. I never had any lapse in gameplay. You just need to connect the extra piece with this to the wiimote, put batteries in this thing and press the buttons on both to stop the blinking blue light and the light becomes solid. The only negative thing is you need 2 triple A batteries to operate this and those arent the same ones that are used for the wiimote. But it does come with 2 batteries to get you started and the batteries last a long time. But overall this is a great alternative to the regular nunchuck.

4 Stars No more wires!
I could not get the nunchuck to sync with the dongle by following the included instructions. So, I send Nyko an email but did not get an answer. I then called their toll free number and was given the correct instructions right away! I was totally surprised that I was actually speaking to an American and not some guy from India! Great help line! I play Top Spin 3 and no more getting tangled up when I hit a backhand!

I would recommend that you download the correct instructions from Nyko’s website if you can’t get it to work the first time!

4 Stars Great Wireless Controller
I bought these for my wife. She uses them when she plays the new Julian Michaels (from the Biggest Loser) game. She wanted them after beating herself up with the wired version. She says that they work great.
