4 Stars what is old is great what is new is not so great
If you enjoyed the original saturn game and you have a classic controller you will be right at home. The wii specific controls do work as well as one would hope. You can get by using them but having a classic controller is definatly the way to go with this game.

The graphics are bright and vibrant and pretty decent for a wii game. This is no mario galaxy but it is no budget shareware either.

The newly added platforming elements of both the main children character should have been left out. They are uninspiring, clunky and just plain unneeded. This is a dream world… That is reason enough they should not have to lumber around, why not have them fly smoothly like there counter part Nights.

If you loved the original pick this up. If you did not play or know of the original on the saturn you may want to pass this one by. It is a great game but also a different kind of game. Picture a racing game with a touch of platformer in a 3-d world on a 2-d plane throw in a lot of flash and loops. If that sounds like something interesting then grab it for sure because it is just as magical as it was when it came out for the saturn!

4 Stars Mikie loves it!!
I bought this for my boys, AND MIKIE LIKES IT – HE REALLY LIKES IT!!

Entertaining but not too hard, the boys have played it almost non-stop since they got it. They’ve beaten it several times and enjoy conquering games, as long as they’re not too easy

Mikie’s 10, Geoffrey’s 11.

Game on, Boys!!!

3 Stars Gotta love the classics
Now don’t let the three stars throw you off. This game is creative, cute and not as easy as some might tell you. It’s not omg complex but the levels are quite fun. From hunting the octo to saving nights and the boss battles. Will’s story was kind of drawn out. How the owl and nights talk to him seems a bit crude and harsh as to how they treat ‘Helen’. I say that because they are much kinder to her and a lot sweeter in their speech. The levels start out different aswell. I love sassy and elegant bad guys and Rela(??) fits that to a ‘T’, he’s mean to nights from slamming him into the door and cuffing him and throwing him in jail. He openly mocks will and helen(yet again nicer to helen then will). All and all it is worth the $19.99(got it for $9.99 at a black friday sale). Oh and the Wii remote thing is no problem use the game cube one(duh kinda obvious)

1 Star I don’t understand what is fun about this game.
If there is a point to this game, then I don’t get it. All you do is fly around, collecting little energy balls, and flying around enemies in a circle. The story line has a good strong premise full of potential, but I think it bombed terribly in execution. It might be fun for children, but this is not an adult game at all.

4 Stars Flying through Nights
My son said the game is fun, he enjoyed the flying around and trapping others in the vortex, and the graphics. In his opinion, the only thing not too great is that you are unable to choose where you want to fly yourself, it is pre-determined. For the fun factor, he would suggest it for others as well.

4 Stars Spyro
the game is fun but a bit buggy. It is really cool to be able to play two players when ever you need to! However we found that a few areas are difficult to coordinate and maneuver without having the computer play one to the characters.

1 Star Spyro
This game is hard! You can’t even get going very easily from the very start of the game and it’s difficult to maneuver. Only experienced gamers will have any luck with this and they probably would find the whole thing boring.

5 Stars Third time is the charm
After a couple of dull PS2 iterations, spyro 3rd time is well polished. They have taken their time to get the game right. It is not going to break any new grounds, but it is a fun game. It is very straight forward, fit for all ages. The gameplay is very simple old school platformer. With all the big 08 holiday releases this one went under the radar. Pick it up you wont regret it. Good addition to you Wii library.

With the games industry still practising the insane sales technique of ‘release 80% of the year’s biggest titles in the two months before Xmas,’ it is no surprise to see that some of the casualties in this battle for shelf space are being heavily discounted. Recent releases like street racer Midnight Club: LA, parkour platformer Mirror’s Edge and even Blighty’s own Lara Croft in Tomb Raider : Underworld have seen their prices slashed by as much as 50% in a bid to force them under the tree th

Tak and the Guardians of Gross is on the Nintendo Wii, and Playstation 2. The WMG was not sure how to take this platformer at first. In a lot of ways Tak and the Guardians of Gross feels like a game from a few years back, and is out of step with where the video game industry has been going. Tak is a magic wielding character...
