1 Star Not for 220-240V use
The product description lists: “Universal voltage input lets you take your Wii anywhere in the world without a voltage converter” but this is NOT TRUE. I live in a 220V country and had hoped to use my US-purchased Wii here.

Even the seller wrote the following to me in an email:

“The Wii Ac Adapter that you have ordered from us will not work in a 240V

country. You will need to purchase a ‘transformer’ adapter in order to be

able to use this adapter in a 240 Volatage country.”

5 Stars Wii Adapter
Wii AC Adapter is great because it does 110-240V 50-60 Hz, so if you need to take your Wii around the world, all you need is an adapter for the plug and it will work anywhere. Only problem is if you have a zoned Wii then you need to get a chip that gets rid of the zoning.

product does not charge well with Or without the wrist straps on, does not stay on charged, you have to keep wiggling it into place every few minutes. it also did not come with a rubber cover.

2 Stars Charges but, battery always dying too soon.
I’m glad that I don’t have to buy new AA batteries every week. but, when I charge for almost 24 hrs. It doesn’t fully charge it all the way. When I play for about 1-2 hours the battery is low.

I guess that’s why they say you get what you pay for.

4 Stars Good, but has room for improvement.
Looks simple and small; this is good.

I didn’t like how the LED’s are

-only one color, not red/green/orange

-waaaay too bright: I had to paint white-out over them to prevent blindness

-blink when charged and hold solid when charging: this seems backwards to me

I did like how it doesn’t require an AC adapter. It just uses a usb port available on the Wii or elsewhere. I was also able to remove the dumb “Phantiq” logo on the front with a swiss knife for a minimalist look.

One other thing; the rechargable packs look like just two rechargable AA’s instead of lithium ion’s or something. They might be actually, but battery life is fine and a more custom pack would probably raise the price out of a reasonable range.

Didn’t work as advertised. Wii cuts out randomly several moments into gameplay, can’t spin up a disc properly. I took my wii back to the US and it worked perfectly. Clearly the power adapter isn’t doing the job over here.

This inexpensive adaptor allows you to run your Nintendo WII on any world-wide voltage. It does not overheat. Excellent buy!

This was the cheapest of the selection on amazon at the time for me with shipping and handling.

It has worked like a charm. I keep this one with my living room TV, and I keep my old one in my bedroom. This allows me to simply bring the Wii downstairs without having to carry any of the cords, or unplug any. If you want to do this, you will need extra A/V cords and an extra sensor bar; both can be bought cheap here on amazon.
