5 Stars For 10 bucks, don’t hesitate to get it.
Sorry to see that some other reviewers find this game boring. My solution: don’t just stand there, shaking your remotes — get dancing! For anyone who loves to “shake that thing”, it will get your heart rate up and put you in a great mood. (Even when the controls aren’t quite working for me, I’m having a blast, and apparently so is my Mii and all of its little friends, jumping to the beat at Carnaval in Rio.) I try to get in a half hour every morning before work, and it really starts the day off right. The graphics & the music alone are worth way more than the 10 bucks they’re asking for it now — get it, and let your inner samba dancer cut loose!

5 Stars WE LOVE THIS GAME!!! FUN AND CHEAP!!!
WE LOVE THIS GAME. DON’T LET THE PRICE FOOL YOU. THE TEEN GIRLS PLAY THIS FOR HOURS!!

4 Stars Awesome fun! Kids love it, great cheesy music!
This is really a great game, and the controls seem just fine, according to my kids. You just never know what to think of the pro reviews. It seems like sometimes they mistake not being good at the game with poor control. My kids aren’t having any problem, and I love having it on in the background. The cheesy, cheesy covers are just great and so catchy. So much fun. It looks like a really fun rhythm game that seems to be easier than guitar hero and rock band, which makes it more fun for the younger kids. At under 10 bucks, it it a fantastic deal.

4 Stars Who knew maracas could be so fun?
When I bought this game, I was a little wary because I only paid $10 for it. However, it turned out to be a sound investment in fun because my 3-1/2 year old daughter and I have a blast playing this game. It’s easy enough for my daughter to play without needing a lot of help from mom and dad and the music is fun to listen to…you really do get into it!

The only complaint I have is that sometimes the controls can be frustrating, but other than that, it is a super fun game and I’m really glad I took a chance on it.

5 Stars Just Dance a Little!!!
Samba de amigo is a really cool game. I buyed it and played it a lot with my friends, it’s really tropical and the music is really fun. For people like me that don’t dance too much, is great because you have the oportunity to shake your bootie… I have to tell you that it’s a really fun game to play with a bunch of friends and show your abilities with the maracas.

4 Stars Shake, Wii, Shake
When it comes down to it, the Nintendo Wii has lagged behind on the success of video games related to music. They have released some hits like Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock and Rock Band. But, it has lagged behind with the feeling of downloading music from the net. That has been where the PS3 and Xbox 360 have delivered well these past few years. It has been the one thing that has lacked for those who really want to rock out loud. But, that has been one strong point up Nintendo’s sleeve with their latest music game. Instead of rocking out loud, it is telling gamers to starting their sambas, and shake, shake, shake it out loud from a Sega classic that is back from the Sega distinction.

Samba De Amigo for the Nintendo Wii, is the latest title to shake their groove things. The classic title from the overlooked Sega Dreamcast era feels a bit more exciting, and brings in more addiction to Wii gamers hearts than you can imagine. This rhythm game allows you to control you Wii-mote and your nunchuck controller as a pair of maracas, and shake your way through several great songs including Smooth, Groove Is In The Heart from Dee Lite, and Volare from the overlooked Gypsy Kings. But that is just the beginning, you can also choose to have the option to use a 2nd Wii-mote instead of the nunchuck, to make the game a bit easier for those who might have a hard time through their samba smashes.

But, that is just the beginning. what really makes this game spark for hard core Wii owners, and classic fans of the original Dreamcast smash, is that this is the first Wii title to include music which you can download off the internet, and add-on to make the gameplay a lot more addictive. You can download as many as 40 great tracks that are available through the game, including classics like the cult hit I Want Candy, and recent classics like Jet’s Are You Gonna Be My Girl. The graphics really look great, and absolutely show a great update in the look, and excitement of the gameplay. Sadly, though as a gamer I found it a bit harder to manuver with the Wii & nunchuck combination, but felt a lot more comfortable with the 2 Wii-motes. Also, with the excitement of finally seeing a Wii game having music downloads, I was expecting a little bit more with the online gaming. While you can post your online scores, I was hoping that there could’ve been a bit more for matchups.

All in all, Samba De Amigo is a great buy for the Nintendo Wii, and really throws in a few great surprises. If you’ve never played the original from the Sega Dreamcast days, or if you are just plain tired of the same old, boring rhythm games like Dance Dance Revolution, than this one is a great buy for your Wii library. So shake your way into the best score possible, and party with Samba De Amigo.

5 Stars Fun Fun Fun!
Samba is silly fun with bright n’ colorful visuals and a great soundtrack. There are 3 difficulty settings making it good family fun on easier difficulties or challenging for experienced players on the harder difficulties. Highly recommended! :)

4 Stars Shake Shake Shake
Samba de Amigo is another offering for rhythm game fans. The way you play is shake your left and right controllers (as maracas) positioned top, middle, or bottom as little blue dots hit the center of larger circles. It’s a hit or miss system. Aside from the regular hit-the-beat at the top, middle, or bottom, in Hustle Mode you may also be asked to make entire circles with your arm or wave it back and forth in some direction, which is a lot of fun to watch others do. A black silhouette of a person will pop up and guide you when you are supposed to make those extra large arm gestures and strike a pose at the end of a song.

You can use either two Wiimotes or a Wiimote + Nunchuk combination of controllers. The Wiimote + Nunchuk combination is more difficult to handle as the controllers are connected with a cord shorter than my arm span and I want freedom to really flail about. I prefer two Wiimotes. If you haven’t yet bought a second Wiimote, a good option to consider is purchasing Wii Play with Wii Remote. The accuracy of the Wiimotes as controllers has been good for me. There seem to be a few more errors in reading hits when using the Nunchuk. You hear the maraca sound effect every time you shake and get a slight vibration when using two Wiimotes.

Additional tracks are available for $$, downloadable on your Wii.

Japanese Wii owners woke this morning to find a flashing blue disk slot on their Wii. That’s because there’s a brand new channel which allows you to upload any photographs on an SD card, turn them into stickers, business cards or photo albums and get them all printed out by FujiFilm. I had a quick play around with the channel earlier on, and it seems you can even create a set of business cards with your Mii on. It’s all relatively straightforward (if you live in Japan, that is) to set up, a
