1 Star Not like Sim City 4
I hate this game. I was so excited when it came out because I love Sim City 4 on the computer but this is nothing like it at all. I tried the tutorials and tried many times to get into it but couldn’t. I much prefer Sim City 4 for the computer.

1 Star I would give this no stars, if that was possible!
HORRIBLE. After playing several sim games over the last few years, I got hooked on the sim city for the iphone game. When I found this for the Wii I thought it would be fun to play on the big screen and ran out to get it. Bad move. The Wii control makes this game frustrating, at best, nauseating at worst and there is no way to “freeze” the map of the city. Every little move of the hand causes the map to careen out of view. Wish I had just bought the PC version.

4 Stars Fun
This is very fun. My son play’s it all the time. The control are a bit hard but it get’s fun making Gaint Metro Area then destroying it with hammers, robots, meteors, drills and more!!

5 Stars My 10-year-old son prefers this wii game to five others he got for X-mas
I’m surprised and delighted actually to see my son creating cities and taking such thought and care for them (of course he also built cities just to destroy them in horrific ways usually involving metors and monsters). He’s new to the Wii this Christmas and while he has and likes Mario Brawl, Mario Galaxy, Raving Rabbids 1 and 2, and Wii Sports he plays with this far longer and more often, at least for now. This game can be a simple create and destroy type or a highly involved creative and yet curiously relaxing learning experience disguised as fun. It’s certainly for adults too as I can attest.

5 Stars Lots of fun
My wife and I bought a Wii for our son for Christmas 2007. I have been looking for a few games that adults could enjoy, so I thought I would give this a try.

I have played the original SimCity and SimCity 2000 in the past, so I did have an idea of what to expect. This game follows in the tradition of those older games with a few adjustments and additional options. So far I have had a lot of fun with it.

4 Stars Just like on the computer
I haven’t played Sim City in years, but this version on the Wii is not that different. The menus are the same. Zooming in and out on the large tv makes for some interesting scenes. The flights over the city are kind of lame. It also takes a while to get use to using the wii remote to scroll through the city – less control than with a mouse. Still hours of fun watching your city grow and then destroying it.

5 Stars Fun, open-ended game!
I’m enjoying this game so far, because of its open-endedness. You can create unique cities, and lay them out in an almost infinite way.

The reviewer who slammed the controls clearly failed to actually spend time LEARNING them; I mean, do you want every game to spoon-feed you oversimplification? Please.

Anyway, if you enjoy creative and strategic games, with longevity, I recommend this game. Go through the tutorials and you should have no problems designing, maintaining (and destroying!) your cities…

2 Stars A big let down!
We were so excited about this game. The controls are difficult to figure out. Lack of instructions, even with the tutorial. It is also hard to complete the missions. Save your money and download the VC SNES Sim City, or wait for MySims Kingdom.

4 Stars A lot of fun
This game is a little hard to learn at the beginning but after you learn all the controls it is so much fun! It took me probably about 2 – 3 hours over about 5 days just playing here and there to master the controls. It will be easier for anyone who has played a lot of the Sim games but it had been a few years for me.

The thing that really makes the game for me is the area assistants who will build for you while you can focus on other things and on details of the budget. They are an invaluable resource that really make the game more fun.

This is a very fun game once you get into it!.
